Glenda Whisenant, a native of Whitfield County attended public schools, married,
raised a family and worked in Whitfield County her entire life.

Glenda has always been involved and busy, even while being a single mother and
homemaker she worked her way up the ladder of success in the Insurance industry.
Starting as a secretary and office worker, she quickly became an Insurance Agent and
assisted in managing a successful insurance agency for over 23 years. Glenda is an
entrepreneur, owning rental property in the community and other real estate holdings.

Glenda has always found time to help others and is an active member of the Seven
Day Adventist Church in Dalton. She has served as a member of the Whitfield
County Board of Equalization for over 7 years and works hard to insure that property
owners are treated fairly on tax assessments by the County Government.

Glenda has never considered herself a politician, nor has she ever held public office
prior to being encouraged by her friends and neighbors to run for the House of
Representatives District 6 seat. The campaign is a family affair with her children and
grandchildren working daily to familiarize the citizens of 6th District with her position
on various issues. Glenda has joined the Americans for Tax Reform and pledged to
oppose and vote against any and all efforts to increase taxes in Georgia.

Glenda is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a responsible Gun
Owner and hunter. She enjoys outdoor activities, especially with her 10
grandchildren.

Glenda is married to Local Businessman Sam Whisenant and has 7 children, 10
grandchildren and 3 great grand-children.
